Meadway celebrated its 40th birthday in 2009 and we continue to provide the same exceptional service that we have always done, to quite literally millions of clients.

Our fleet of approximately 180 smart, modern cars is controlled 24 hours a day by our computerised operations system, which tracks all our vehicles real-time. This assures that you receive the closest available vehicle and can be informed by SMS when your car arrives to pick you up. All our drivers are registered with the Public Carriage Office and are courteous, smartly dressed and, as a security measure, are issued with Meadway identification badges. All our vehicles are also licensed with the Public Carriage Office and are fitted with satellite navigation systems which are automatically pre-programmed with the details of your journey.

Meadway is also proud to have achieved ISO 9002 accreditation in 1999 and more recently the environmental accreditation ISO 14001. Since then we have strived to maintain the strict and high level standards as set in the original agreements.

Licensed with the Public Carriage Office in 2002, when licensing was first introduced, we are also a 5 star graded Platinum Private Hire Operator with the London Private Hire Association.

When collecting passengers our drivers are trained to meet you at a specific point, such as the ticket barrier or at the customer exit.

However, if you are arranging collection from a cinema, restaurant or theatre, our telephonist will arrange an exact meeting point with your designated driver. To avoid confusion our driver will have your name on a board and will also display a Meadway identification badge.

You can therefore be doubly sure that you have been met by a driver from Meadway. Or for a nominal fee, you can request that an SMS text is sent to your mobile telling you the make, model and registration number of the vehicle as soon as it has arrived. Please request on booking.

We have a choice of saloon car, estate or MPV. All you need to do is state your preference at time of booking. (Please note that estate and MPV's incur supplemental cost.)
